Avezov named NA3HL’s East Division’s Second Star of the Week; Doucette is honorable mention

The NA3HL announced today its Bauer Stars of the Week for week ending November 15 and Titans forward Brandon Avezov was named the East Division’s second Star of the Week while Phillippe Doucette was named honorable mention.

Avezov had four points (1 goal and 3 assists) in Sunday’s 5 – 4 shootout loss to the Long Beach Sharks. Trailing 4 – 1 entering the third period, his goal brought New Jersey within one from tying the game. He did have a goal in the shootout.

The Bellmore, NY native leads the Titans with 21 total points (11 goals and 10 assists) and goals (11). This is the fifth time this season that Avezov has received league recognition. He was the NA3HL’s Forward of the Month for October while he was the East Division’s Star of the Week for weeks ending November 1, October 25 and 11.

Doucette had two points (both goals) in Sunday’s game. The Unionville, PA native started the Titans comeback in the third scoring the team’s second goal and then ultimately the game tying goal with 4:03 remaining in regulation.

The 6’2”, 175 lb. forward is second on the team with 16 total points (5 goals and 11 assists). He leads the team in assists (11). This is the second time that Doucette has been named honorable mention (October 25).
