The NA3HL announced today its Bauer Stars of the Week for week ending March 14 and Titans forward Brandon Avezov was named the East Division’s Star of the Week while fellow forward Nick Byron was honorable mention.
Avezov had eleven points (4 goals and 7 assists) in four games last week, including a hat trick in Saturday’s 5 – 3 win over the Long Beach Sharks. The Bellmore, NY native leads the team in total points with 51 (23 goals and 28 assists), goals (23), game winning goals (4) and +/- +46.
This is the ninth time this season that Avezov has received weekly/monthly league recognition. He the East Division’s Star of the Week for weeks ending November 22, November 1, October 25 and October 19. He was the second Star of the Week for week ending November 15 and honorable mention March 7. He was the league’s Forward of the Month for October, and he was honorable mention for the league’s Forward of the Month for October.
Byron had four points (all goals) last week including a natural hat trick in Sunday’s contest against the Northeast Generals. The West Springfield, MA native has ten points (7 goals and 3 assists) in 26 games this season. This is the first time that Byron has received weekly/monthly league recognition.
Byron makes the tenth Titan to receive weekly/monthly league recognition this season.
