May 14, 2020

The New Jersey Titans, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League, are pleased to announce an affiliation with the Clearwater Ice Storm from Clearwater, FL. The announcement was made jointly by Titans President and NA3HL General Manager George Haviland and Ice Storm President Fred Eaton.

“I am thrilled to announce that the New Jersey Titans have decided to have an affiliate relationship with the Clearwater Ice Storm in Florida” stated Haviland. We believe there are a lot of strong players in Florida without a clear path to NCAA college hockey which the Titans have inside our junior and Tier I youth program.”

“With a strong working relationship with the Ice Storm, the objective is to identify and advance players from their Florida based program to Titans Nation. It will prove to be a great pipeline for an Ice Storm player to get into our Titans’ program. The Clearwater program has strong hockey people operating the club, and today they have showed their commitment and their care of advancing players to a proven program in the Titans by entering into this affiliation relationship” added Haviland.

“The Ice Storm Program is always looking for new ways to promote moving kids to the next levels of Ice Hockey and the Titans Program gives us that opportunity” stated Eaton. “The Titans are a first-class organization and we are extremely proud of this affiliation. The Titan organization is regarded as one of TOP programs in the NAHL and was recently awarded with an NA3HL Team. The Clearwater Ice Storms goal is to develop and offer our players the opportunity to play at the highest level they can achieve. This Affiliation will give the players this chance” concluded Eaton.

The Titans organization was established in 1999 and was founded by Haviland. Since then the Titans have had over 1000 players make college commitments. The Titans are comprised of teams in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) and NA3HL junior leagues and North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) and Atlantic Youth Hockey League (AYHL) youth leagues. This is the first year that the Titans will be fielding an NA3HL team. The Titans play out of the Middletown Sports Complex in Middletown, New Jersey.

Fielding teams from mites to midgets, the Ice Storm are in their second season. This past year the organization had eleven of its twelve teams qualify for States; three teams finished as Florida state champions and two teams were slotted to go to Nationals. The midget teams will be members of the NAPHL this upcoming year. The Ice Storm play out of the Clearwater Ice Arena in Clearwater, FL.
